Schilthorn Mountain, Switzerland. The tallest mountain in the Bernese Alps is like a second home to me, I’ve visited over and over again ever since I turned 18. I know the area like the back of my hand and I would never get tired of exploring new routes and trails. There are various things that make Schilthorn a remarkable place for hiking and photography. Day or night, winter or summer, you can always find great locations worth photographing around this magnificent mountain you won’t forget anytime soon.
Finding the right shot is not that easy. Often, it takes a lot of courage and creativity to stand out from the crowd with pictures. Located near Interlaken and Berne, it’s not a place that you’ll stumble upon while going through the Swiss cities or villages. You’d have to travel through the mountains to get to it, or take cable cars and trains. The only way to reach this valley is by driving through a few tunnels from Grindelwald and Wengen up north.
Aletsch Glacier is the largest glacier in Europe and the second largest on the planet. This site offers a rare and unmatched view of nature in Switzerland. Beyond a 10-kilometer wide path, the glacier extends through several hundred kilometers of various landscapes until it ends at one of the deepest holes on earth, Lake Brienz — with its crystal clear water meeting milky ice.
This abandoned bank of falls is located in Switzerland, in the middle of a rather small village: Giessbach. However, it’s very well accessible, just a few minutes away by train from Interlaken and Wengen. Etang de Thau in Balaruc-les-Bains
Etang de Thau in Balaruc-les-Bains is an incredible place for a photography trip, with so many photo opportunities around. It’s an ideal place for the photography beginner, since it has great terrain and a lot of photogenic spots.
