I know the area like the back of my hand and I would never get tired of exploring new routes and trails. There are various things that make Schilthorn a remarkable place for hiking and photography. Day or night, winter or summer, you can always find great locations worth photographing around this magnificent mountain you won’t forget anytime soon.

You’d have to travel through the mountains to get to it, or take cable cars and trains. The only way to reach this valley is by driving through a few tunnels from Grindelwald and Wengen up north.

Aletsch Glacier

Aletsch Glacier is the largest glacier in Europe and the second largest on the planet. This site offers a rare and unmatched view of nature in Switzerland. Beyond a 10-kilometer wide path, the glacier extends through several hundred kilometers of various landscapes until it ends at one of the deepest holes on earth, Lake Brienz — with its crystal clear water meeting milky ice.

However, it’s very well accessible, just a few minutes away by train from Interlaken and Wengen. Etang de Thau in Balaruc-les-Bains

Etang de Thau in Balaruc-les-Bains is an incredible place for a photography trip, with so many photo opportunities around. It’s an ideal place for the photography beginner, since it has great terrain and a lot of photogenic spots.

The water is clear, the weather allows to swim all year long even in September. On the other side of the lake, one can find a small fishing town named Balaruc-les-Bains. It’s made up of old stone houses and narrow streets that lead to the center of the village.

ZUGERSEE is the most beautifull lake in switzerland. It is a Swiss Alpine lake in the Canton of Zug and part of the lower course of the river Reuss. It is located above Menzingen, at the eastern end of the Mittelberg mountain. The village of Attinghausen can be reached from there.

Zugersee shoreline is on my top for photography spots to visit in Switzerland. This is one of Switzerland’s largest lakes and the shoreline has some different sides, it goes through small villages and there are places to stop and enjoy a nice view.

However, once mentioned the word “Interlaken”, everyone knows that it has something to do with tourism in Switzerland.
