The super wide-angle zoom lens TAMRON 11-20mm F2.8 has a fixed aperture of F2.8. Even though the lens has a fast F2.8 aperture, it is minimal. It feels balanced when attached to a compact APS-C mirrorless camera body. This lens is perfect for daily use, with a zoom range of 16.5-30mm on a full-frame camera.

Close-up shots look great at the 11mm ultra wide-angle end of the lens, which has a Minimum Object Distance (MOD) of 0.15m (5.9 in.) and a highest magnification ratio of 1:4. This feature encourages creative wide-angle macro shots that take advantage of the unique view that only ultra wide-angle lenses can offer.

The RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepping motor AF drive is also great for taking photos and making videos. This zoom lens’s Moisture-Resistant Construction and durable Fluorine Coating give it extra safety when shooting outside. The 11-20mm zoom is an excellent choice for travel, landscape, street, and general photography because it is small, has a fast F2.8 aperture, a good zoom range, and superb picture quality.

MAIN FEATURES OF 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD

1. The ultra-wide-angle zoom lens has a fast F2.8 aperture and is easy to use.
The 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD is a natural ultra-wide-angle zoom lens with a constant F2.8 aperture through the zoom range. Also, it is surprisingly small (86.5mm/3.4 in) and light (335g/11.8 oz). Its excellent portability makes it easy to take photos and make videos with a small tripod or gimbal stabilizer.

At 11mm (16.5mm on a full-frame camera), you can enjoy the unique and powerful world of ultra wide-angle photos. The 20mm focal length (the same as 30mm on a full-frame camera) is suitable for casual snapshots like taking on the street and for everyday use. The 11-20mm F2.8 is helpful because it is small and light and has a fast F2.8 aperture. It makes shooting fun and gives you more freedom in different shooting settings.

2. Optical ability that stands out
The 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD lens comprises ten groups with 12 elements each. Two carefully placed GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements ensure the picture is clear all the way around. Also, the 11-20mm F2.8 also has one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) lens element and two LD (Low Dispersion) lens elements, which help fix optical aberrations and sharpen the images. It also has a BBAR-G2 (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Generation 2) Coating, which keeps ghosting and flare to a minimum and lets you see even the most minor details of an object when it is backlit. The features work together to make sharp pictures, have natural colors, and have a lot of saturation.

3. The RXD stepping motor unit is excellent for video use because it is tranquil.
TAMRON’s RXD stepping motor unit is part of the AF drive system. This fast and accurate autofocus feature lets users keep a tack-sharp focus on moving objects all the time. It works great for both still photos and videos. Because the autofocus is so quiet, the lens can be used quietly to shoot indoors, make videos, and perform other tasks requiring low noise levels.

4. MOD of 0.15m (5.9 in) at 11mm focal length for creative super wide-angle macro
The 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD has a minimum focusing distance (MOD) of 0.15m (5.9 in) at 11mm and 0.24m (9.4 in) at 20mm. Close-up shooting is better and more flexible than ultra-wide-angle zoom lenses at their most considerable focal length. At 11mm, the lens has an incredible maximum magnification ratio of 1:4. This lets you do wide-angle macro photography that takes advantage of the unique view of ultra wide-angle lenses and the expressive bokeh that comes from this lens’s fast maximum aperture.

5. The fluorine coating and moisture-resistant design add extra security.
Moisture-Resistant Construction means seals around the lens mount and other important places to keep moisture and raindrops out. Also, the front area of the lens element is covered with a fluorine compound that protects it and makes it very resistant to water and oil.

This new Fujifilm version of the Tamron 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD will work like our reviewed Sony version. Since that lens worked so well, Fujifilm photographers should be in for a real treat when the X-mount version comes out at the end of this month.

The 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD, 17-70mm, 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD, and 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD are the three Tamron lenses that are already available for the Fujifilm X-shooter.
